After graduating, everyone is always optimistic for good times ahead. The optimism is first magnified with the graduating ceremony which starts at the institution then back to village. Parents and the whole society wear happy faces, they now believes that since you have graduated, you will be a successful person who will stand with his family financially.
However, this not the reality. More of graduates, after graduating they end up hustling, living a life they schooled for more than 18 years not to live but most end up doing jobs that require no academic papers to run. Parents end up losing hope even after investing everything they have remaining with only breathe, but they end up harvesting nothing.
It is so painful that a graduate can finish 8 4 4 academic system and end up in streets struggling for space to set up their business with school dropout. This bitterness among youths was evident when IEBC was doing voter registration that youths turnout was very low. With this bitterness youths are carrying it will be carried to the end. The government should try to do something with this huge crisis of large number of youths who are holding diploma and degree certificates but they cannot put anything on table.
