During the campaigns periods which are currently heating up in the country, politicians all over the years air their manifestos which are majorly based on empty promises. The politicians can’t be trusted to keep their promises fulfilled ones they are in the government. Over the decades they take the pledges of improving transport and communication network, better health care, provision of bursaries, increase job opportunities for the youths. Kenyans sides with such politicians but ends up reaping nothing but regrets.
A politician knowingly gave out such kind of promises during the 2017 general elections just to lure citizens and as a way to hunt for votes, but it’s quiet absurd that until this time of another elections, there are poor roads, poor health care, students lack school fee but the shameless politician mindlessly takes another pledge for the forthcoming general elections in August 2022.
Citizens pleads with the politicians to embrace the attribute of fulfilling their promises, be responsible leaders to take good care of voters and refrain from fund embezzlement of which is a story to tell in Kenya. The key aspect of being elected as an official is being truthful; therefore, Kenyans to ignore the fake promises but focus on mindful leaders otherwise the nation shall face a discord.
