Kikuyu Men’s Conference Resolutions

The recent meeting of Kikuyu Men’s Conference held at Kenol in Murang’a County sought to address pertinent issues pertaining to the Nyûmba Ya Gîkuyu na Mumbi.

Under the Patron Dr. Thuo Mathenge “noo Wanguku” the conference resolved as follows:

Here is a candid look at some of these resolutions:

“We shall endeavour to promote Kikuyu nation and its interests and unite the community and its leaders. We shall protect the community from biological weapons and social disintegration. In particular we declare alcohol and substance abuse a national menace and shall fight it along manufactures of this poison.

We shall increase the population with the Kikuyu community having minimum five children per man.

We shall promote and teach the Kikuyu language amongst our children through the introduction of Kikuyu language classes in primary school and village level.

We shall establish local cells in every village to be called village 12.

WWE shall establish county coordination offices of the KMC.

We shall be holding regular Kikuyu Men’s Conference in the country at different counties beginning with Mt Kenya region.

We as men shall take our rightful position as head of the family and leaders of our Nation.

We shall be our brother’s keeper. A man for a man. A man for a boy. A man for the community.

We endorse the leaders of the. Conference and mandate them to lead headed by the Patron, deputy patron and secretary general.

All Kikuyu shall be members of this forum which is nonpolitical.

We adopt our slogan to be Gikuyu, Tuiguane, Twendane Tûthereme.”
