The Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) has imported fertiliser for its over 650,000 farmers.
Senior Board and Management officials, led by Chairman David Muni Ichoho – KTDA Holdings Chairman on Saturday received the ship carrying the first consignment of NPK fertilizer at the Port of Mombasa.
The fertilizer will be packaged into 50-kg bags at port and distributed to smallholder farmers across the country starting this week.
Farmers are expected to apply it when the rains sets from next month.
