Boy Child
Campaigns for girl to boy have been sensitive for a long period of time. The crucial fight is making the girl child break all odds to special recognition in the society something positive. Campaigns, discussions and groups have led to girl empowerment but unfortunately the boy child forgotten. The expectations are highly undermining a balance.
The recent unfolding have encouraged putting more girl child in mind and on the other side leaving boys traumatized. The boys are undergoing difficulties that are not intervened this easily dumping them into depression. For example there are cases where young boys are assaulted by older women but that is not real realized. Boys are taken to be strong; what is practically away from the reality.
It is unfortunate that there are many young men who have started indulging into drug abuse like alcohol because they have lacked a shoulder to share their grievances. A genuine example, it is unusual to take serious a rape case of a boy compared to that of a girl, more concern is put in girl child. This can be resolved by always having a balanced campaigns, discussion and talks not to endanger one gender. We are all human; a man can be depressed, can suffer and can also cry.
Many cases are reported of domestic violence, but when all this is said what automatically comes into mind it is a woman who has been mishandled. But several men are suffering in silence even others dying since they fear the shame when they speak out. The sympathizing and somehow not funny part, a woman will box a man properly but no sooner than a man raises his hand the woman would had already screamed and all as simple is twisted. I think if boy and girl respected each other all this will not be an issue to argue about.
Sometimes since many groups, associations and human rights campaigns have increased their campaigns in favour of girls, boys are apparently feeling undermined. Through this it is why some women take some decisions, actions that harm men by being confident that they have so many hands to steer their support and protect them.
It is as such concerning that if this is not reemphasize then we will lose boy child. The pressure and unimportance exerted to boys is making them live and create a hostile environment as girls being their enemies. If taken lightly then the consequences will be heavy to carry.
