Limuru MP Rolls Out Subsidized School Feeding Program to Tackle Hunger

Limuru Constituency Member of Parliament Eng. John Kiragu Chege has taken a significant step toward addressing hunger in schools, with all local comprehensive schools now serving hot, balanced lunches to students at a subsidized cost of just Ksh 15 per plate.

At Gatura Comprehensive School in Ndeiya Ward, students were seen enjoying their meals on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, as part of this transformative program. The MP reaffirmed his commitment to supporting education and the well-being of learners, saying, “My administration is committed to ensuring that no child in Limuru learns on an empty stomach.”
