LITERATURE IS HERE TO STAY: Mufamaḓi Successfully Publishes Four Books In A Day

Tshimangadzo Mufamaḓi is from Ha-Mashau village in Venḓa, Limpopo, South Africa. He’s a teacher, an author and currently furthering his studies at university of South Africa doing LLB degree. As a passionate teacher, Tshimangadzo always had a wish to help his students succeed by means of adapting to the reading culture. Growing up, he was passionate about writing, hence he never thought one day he would be a published author. In 2020 after thinking long and hard, Tshimangadzo saw his previous work that he used to write in high school fit to be published with the knowledge he has for the curriculum. He therefore published his first book titled Tsumbanḓila in his African mother tongue. According to Tshimangadzo, the aim for Tsumbanḓila is to guide learners and parents to have a broad understanding of their syllabus as well as helping improve their grammar, reading skills and the use of language in a more appropriate way. Tsumbanḓila is not just a book, it further received the global honoree awards on the fifth African annual Global Honoree author awards July 2022 as well as receiving a recognition from the department of education in Gauteng for learners in primary. The progress of his first book motivated him to publish more books of which he later published 4 books in one day early 2023 leaving him breaking the record in the writing industry. The four books are: Education is treasure, Pfunzo ndi ifa, Tsumbunḓila ya mirole yoṱhe and Tsumbunḓila ya grade 1 to 3.

Apart from all that he has achieved, Tshimangadzo calls himself a life-long learner and educator. Through his books, he wishes to see lives transformed and a better development in schools when it comes to reading and writing. “Writing is not my career but instead something I enjoy doing in my free time. My journey as a writer was not motivated by a place of comfort zone. Now, I have some knowledge and will keep spreading the knowledge through writing,” he concluded.

The book starts with encouraging learners and highlighting the vital importance of EDUCATION. It is a book that is written to help learners who struggle with reading and writing. Through it all its written in a way that parents can also help their children in bettering their vocabulary by means of helping them with pronunciation of words.
