I recall when i was a child
My mama was always in motion
Busy I should say
Hands were all over
Her eyes tired
Sometime she was at the market
Another time she was cooking
Even cleaning
Just to see all fixed
She prepared dinner
While she was busy bathing my little brother
She thought we would not stand
She thought we would not be full
Cooking, washing, cleaning
She was busy after all
She was busy
She never sat beside me
Even to ask how I was
Or how my day was
Not because she never cared
I really know she did
But her love
Was only for survival
And emotions were absent
So I stopped sharing
I kept things to myself
I got used to quiteness
That silence as the background noise
I got used to quiet feeling
And it gave birth to my current situation
Loneliness
