PS Paul Ronoh Hands Over To Incoming PS At The State Department Water And Sanitation

The immediate Principal Secretary State Department of Water and Sanitation Dr Paul Ronoh yesterday handed office to the incoming counterpart Julius Korir during a brief ceremony held at Maji House.
The PS State Department for Irrigation Mr. Ephantus Kimotho was also in attendance.
Dr Ronoh is headed to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development where he will take up his new role as the Principal Secretary Crop Development.
Prior to their reassignment by the President last Wednesday, Korir was PS Cabinet Affairs.
Dr Ronoh thanked the President for appointing him at the Ministry and giving him another opportunity to serve at Crop Protection following the recent changes announced reorganizing the Executive and effecting portfolio changes of Ministries and State Departments.
He appreciated the incoming PS for his track record in the Ministries he has served for the last 9 years, which include, Industrialization, Youth Affairs, Health, Agriculture and Cabinet Affairs where he has demonstrated leadership and hard work during his tenure in those previous roles and urged the HODs and staff to accord him unwavering support for the realization of the State Department Mandate.
The PS said as he was leaving the Ministry to take up his new role assigned and was cognizant of the enormity and importance of the assignment before him and the team he will be working with at Kilimo House to gear up to attainment of Food Security for the country.
The incoming PS said the mandate and the objective of the State Department of Water and Sanitation were clear and that he will take up actualize the ongoing transformation of water resources management and water and sewerage services in the country which the Ministry is bestowed by the mandate to operationalize.
Mr. Korir emphasized that he is open to learn and listen to the technical officers in the Ministry in an endeavor to nurture teamwork for better results in set specific targets and Departmental work plans as SD undertakes programmes and critical interventions aimed at making Water and Sanitation available to all as envisioned in the country’s transformative agenda for quality life to the citizens.
