A section of the newly installed water purification and bottling plant
The Nyeri National Polytechnic has established a modern water purification and treatment plant with a reverse osmosis technology system.
The plant was established with the following objectives: to produce pure and healthy drinking water for the Polytechnic population, to offer a skilling area in water engineering for the trainees in the applied science department, to offer the trainees in Food Technology and Analytical Chemistry an opportunity for attachment and dual training, to offer job opportunities to the youth and community at large hence contributing to national economic growth and industrialization and to offer the country the necessary manpower to manage water and water resources effectively and professionally.
The purified water has undergone all necessary laboratory tests including physical, chemical, microbial and heavy metal analysis to make sure that the product is healthy, pure and fit for human consumption. The water can further be used in related water-value- addition ventures.
As we celebrate the success of our graduands today, The Nyeri National Polytechnic community is proud to commission its purified water brand: “Aberdare Wells”.
