Security Guard Succumbs to Injuries, Multiple Injured in Robbery Attack

Security guard succumbs to injuries, as multiple injured in robbery attack in Suneka , Bonchari Constituency.
Peter Nyaende Moenga aged 60 years security guard of the Mora Supermarket was shot on the right side of the back of his chest and the bullet lodged on the chest after the thugs made away with unknown amount of cash.
The deceased person was rushed to Nyangena Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The robbers numbering nine who were armed with AK-47 rifle and pistol upon reaching at the said supermarket they removed the guns and started shooting, break the Mpesa shop where the ladies were counting money some of them entered into the shop and started shooting employees who were inside the supermarket.
The proprietor was about to close for the day when they stormed.
Confirming the incident Kisii South OCPD Charles Machinji said that the other two employees who sustain injuries due hit by blunt objects were Vivian Ouru aged 24years who sustained injury on her right hand and Edwin Marongo aged 26 years who also sustained injury on his head.
They were rushed to Marble hospital for treatment.
Machinji cited that at the scene six cartridges of AK-47 of 7.62mm calibers were collected and also the incident was captured by CCTV camera of the said supermarket.
OCPD said that they have launched investigation over the incident.
The deceased person has been transferred to Nyangena Hospital waiting for autopsy.
