This Is My Home
Taste the buffet of bonfires,
the natural rhythm of a heart.
Though small and dark,
our welcome is great and bright.
This is my home! Africa.
Beyond the rich alluvial soils;
cracked feet stomp upon,
crafted in a way of hard work and harmony.
Where seasons of true love meditate, philosophy of hope.
This is my home! Africa.
Where wild full moon scream,
upon charms of the Nile river,
to the joy that feed, pride of health den.
From the stretching yellow sun;
to the golden sand of the desert;
to the life of songwriting rain,
that nature voices of the jungles.
This is my home, Mama Africa!
Where a peaceful dream, walks above water,
where life is, but, not disturbed by mechanical hands of time.
