Β
Lost in the chaos of time,
Limping in the dark paths
Of a dead morrow,
Still casting blind eyes
Of decimated prospects,
The pale shadow of this village
Lingers,
Like the disfigured pride,
Of a newly wed raped before
Honeymoon.
Surfing the silent tides of peril,
And riding on the back of
Bolting stallions of catastrophe,
And still holding to the reigns of
Death,
To silently bath in the deathly
Waters of our accursed birth,
And trolling like an exhausted
Cathedral chime,
This village still stands,
Struck by the endemic epidemic
Of melancholy.
Where detritus of national prize
Is shared with no delight,
Hope crisscrossing like barren
Vagabonds,
Nearly born dreams demasculinized
In this whirlwind of mental thresh,
Prefigured streams of comeliness
Bilked in derailment
To shadow a dream in this
Merry-go-round
Where life bleeds in circles and
Moulders into mounds
With fetor blood choking procession,
Milk and honey metamorphosised
Into social evil.
Autocrats squandering the swag
In below bottommost!
This village, ill-fated- a mangled
Reflection of a once watered dream!
