Nyeri County Governor Mwalimu Mutahi Kahiga in blue suit at a stand
The Central Kenya National Show has attracted thousands of people from different walks of life.

Yesterday, the second days since it opened the doors to the public, the event was officially opened by Nyeri County Governor Mwalimu Mutahi Kahiga.
The governor who was accompanied by among others led by the ASK Chief Executive Officer Batram Muthoka and the regional show chairman Patrick Karinga toured the expansive Kabiruini Showground where he visited various exhibition stands.
Briefing journalists after the tour, both the governor and the chairman said the attendance was impressive bearing in mind that such event has not taken place since 2020 when Covid-19 pandemic was reported.
The show has attracted over 110 exhibitors including Financial institutions, institutions of higher learning, health and hospitality institutions, sectors of agriculture, livestock, fisheries, trade, Manufacturing, NGOs, CBOs, youth enterprises, women based groups, among others.
This year’s theme is “Promoting Innovation and Technology in Agriculture and Trade.”
Funfair activities are also expected to play a bigger role in entertaining the shower goers.
Some of the exhibitors include Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA), Thika Motor Dealers, Tea Board of Kenya,Β Almasi Beverages, Mukurwe-ini Wakulima Dairy, Romer Water and Environment Protection and Prisons department.
Nyeri County entrepreneurs have not been left behind in exhibiting their areas of trade. These include BradeGate Poultry Industries limited and World Wide Sires.
Saccos include Taifa, Biashara, Newfortis and Wanachi.
Some of the new entrants include painter maker, Muthokinju, catering services provider Sangare Gardens, properties and land dealers; Golden Green Properties and Alicons Housing Real Estate.
Others include Dryland seeds, Good Farmland Management limited, Croptech limited and Maker Pump/Kirkstart.
Various government ministries, institutions and parastatals will also be exhibiting. Some of these include the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Energy and Petroleum.
Government agencies include National Cereals and Produce Board, Office of Registrar of Political Parties, Tana Water Works Development Agency, Child Welfare Society of Kenya, National Hospital Insurance Fund and Unclaimed Financial Assets.
The show ends tomorrow.
