- In the last 2020, the number of foreign citizens who visited Uzbekistan from foreign countries for tourist purposes during the pandemic was 1.5 million people. This indicator decreased by 77.7% compared to 2019.
- The main purpose of foreign citizens who visited our republic was to visit their relatives, which made up 87.8 percent. At the same time, those who visited for recreation, treatment, service, and study also make up a significant part.
- They are from the following countries. will visit: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, China, South Korea, India, Pakistan, Ukraine, Germany, USA, Japan, France, Great Britain, Israel, Iran, etc. In Uzbekistan, the majority of foreign tourists travel across the border.

Abstract: To have information about the tourism industry and its types for a certain segment of the population in the society, the activity of tourism in the republic, its reforms, serves as a tool for the development of this industry and raising the morale of people.

INTRODUCTION
In all countries with developed economies of our time, special attention is paid to each industry, sector and direction. Because they contribute to the development of the country’s economy, improve the standard of living of the population and a number of other factors.
The tourism sector is the largest component of the service sector. Tourism is a type of travel in which people travel to places outside their usual environment for other purposes, such as recreation, business, and learning the culture of other peoples. There are several types of tourism in today’s hectic age, including recreational tourism, business tourism, excursion tourism, extreme tourism, cultural and educational tourism, VIP tourism, i.e. visiting expensive resorts, ecotourism, mountain tourism, ethnic tourism, marine tourism and others. From each type of tourism they will have the opportunity to get the pleasure of appropriate intensity, self-confidence, courage and spiritual strength, overcoming difficulties and other very enjoyable educational and instructive feelings. It should be noted here that tourism has actively influenced the economy and culture of a number of regions in the country. For example, it is closely related to the development of the tourism activity system, trade, social-household, cultural, and medical services for tourists.
LITERATURE ANALYSIS AND METHODS
The objective method of scientific knowledge was used in the research process. In the process of this research, the importance of tourism in the development of the economy of Uzbekistan was objectively revealed. Today’s stages of tourism development were studied in terms of logical consistency. Today, decisions on laws in the field of tourism and expenses for tourist services were made methodologically.
Our country has a rich spiritual and cultural heritage, various historical and archeological objects, favorable natural and climatic conditions, we can see any kind of landscape in our territory, there are many mausoleums of scholars recognized in the Islamic world, and shrines. But our country has a huge potential in the field of tourism, but for many years this opportunity was not fully and effectively used.
The acceptance of various documents related to tourism by our President was a proof of the high attention of our country to the development of tourism. With these documents, priority tasks for solving the accumulated problems in the field, increasing the potential of tourism were defined, many benefits and reliefs were given for the further development of domestic tourism.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized the role of tourism in the economy. analyzed the situation in this regard in our country and the effectiveness of the measures taken for the development of the sector one by one. Instead of traveling enough, tourists were wandering in the internal affairs offices, they were not provided with sufficient conditions, “Uzbekistan Airways” was sluggish, the smallest aspects at the airports negatively affected the mood of tourists, the number of hotels was small and The President criticized that the service provided is not at an excellent level, in a word, despite the great opportunities in the tourism sector, the tourism infrastructure, the quality and level of tourism services of Uzbekistan do not meet the modern requirements in the conditions of globalization and fierce competition. and assigned them respective tasks.
DISCUSSION AND RESULTS
Special attention is paid to tourism in Uzbekistan, and growth trends are being implemented. On this basis, pilgrimage tourism, cultural tourism, medical tourism, gastronomic tourism, youth tourism, ecotourism, ethnic tourism, sports tourism and other types of tourism are operating. Cultural and educational information by introducing them to historical monuments, architectural, religious and cultural monuments and other modern attractions of our republic in cities such as Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Shahrisabz, which have an ancient history in the development of cultural and pilgrimage tourism served as a basis.

The average cost of tourists visiting Uzbekistan from other countries as of 2018 was as follows: Kazakhstan – 158.3 dollars; Kyrgyzstan – 99.3 dollars; Tajikistan – 60.4 dollars; Turkmenistan – 104.6 dollars; Other CIS countries – $635.6; Far foreign countries – 709.4 dollars.
In recent years, many decisions, laws, decrees, and concepts aimed at the comprehensive development of tourism potential have been developed and put into practice. At the same time, the concept of developing youth tourism in Uzbekistan was developed, and as a result of the implementation of projects developed on this basis, 2020-2025 In -years, target indicators for the development of youth tourism in the country have been set. Among them, the number of young foreign tourists will increase from 1.3 million to 2.2 million in 2020, to 3.3 million in 2023.
It is planned to increase the number from 8.1 million to 10 million in 2020 and 13.6 million in 2023, including 20 international events in 2020 and 60 in 2023. February’s “O”In connection with the implementation of the decree “On measures to further develop domestic and pilgrimage tourism” in the Republic of Uzbekistan, a number of works are being carried out to develop pilgrimage tourism and attract foreign pilgrims to our country.

According to 2018 data in our republic, there are 133 tourist vehicles, 234 tour operators, 660 certified guides, 81 family hotels, and 914 hotels. For example, it can be said that the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the State Tourism Development Committee, Aziz Abduhakimov, was in the city of Khiva and participated in the opening ceremony of the “Hotel Zarafshon boutique” hotel and the 3-star “Sayid Isl om Kho’ ja” hotel was given a subsidy certificate; it is planned to establish Ferghana Higher School of Tourism in cooperation with the Turks; foreign languages from the 2021-2022 academic year
By the end of 2019, Uzbekistan received 1.3 billion dollars from services in all spheres of tourism. This figure is 30% more than in 2018. It should be noted here that 260,000 people work in tourism in Uzbekistan. The well-being and needs of the population

Today, the development of the country’s economy, the improvement of the living conditions of the population, the entry into the international arena and taking a worthy place in it, as well as the tourism industry, are important.
Currently, in order to widely promote tourism among people, there are various travel programs on the television screens of our country that promote the tourism potential of Uzbekistan, various places of interest, tourist attractions, centers, strange and legendary places of our country day and night. are being demonstrated, subsidies and other incentives for tourism development are also being used. Ambassadors in foreign countries should be promoters of our country and national values, and our compatriots abroad should also contribute to this.
