This is this year’s Lenten Campaign theme for our catholic brothers.
Every human being, while a member of the body of humanity as a whole is a unique idea of God, with significance and destiny that is eternal.
The Holy trinity reveals God as the fullness of being, the true life and eternal beauty. In God too there is unity in diversity…there is God the Father, God the son and God the Holy spirit.
Kenya is a unique country, it is diverse in nature… putting into consideration the different geographical boundaries, the many religious beliefs, a number of tribes and language integrations that are accompanied by unique and beautiful cultural practices and not forgetting the various political alignments that bring out heightened emotions during each electioneering period.
I would liken Kenya with a multi coloured flower vase. It is usually beautiful and attractive than the one with a single colour of flowers.
A flower vase with just one colour may be likened to your tribe…which you do not have the willingness to chose if given a chase compared to the multi-coloured flower vase.
The multi-coloured flower vase can be likened to the unity and peaceful coexistence that is attractive and draws one attention to chose.
That means you have no power to chose your tribe or where you are born but you have the power to chose and design the environment you are in.you can’t chose your tribe but you can chose peace, unity and peaceful coexistence.
God saw it more beautiful and more attractive to create Kenya that has more than 45 tribes.Let us not destroy or try to disregard God’s creative nature buy dividing ourselves in tribal groups but use our languages as a gift from God to make each others life better in this beautiful planet.
Come August as Kenyans let us chose peace…remember after elections you still need that neighbour, that police that employee…that boss..the list is endless…let us chose peace as Kenyans and remember life must go on after 9th August..
