World Health Organization (WHO) Malaria Technical Officer Dr. James Dan Otieno other Partners have concluded Five day support supervision to the ongoing Mass Net Distribution in Homabay County to check on the progress, challenges faced in order to improve on the performance.
He kicked the process by first visiting Rangwe Sub County during the Launch of Mass net on 15th November 2023, from Launch to Distribution kick off on 16th November 2023,then Rachuonyo North Sub County, Homabay town Sub County, Suba North, Suba Central Sub Counties.

Homabay County Governor Gladys Wanga together with Principal Secretary for Public Health, Mary Muthoni not forgetting USAID Mission Director, David Gosney launched the Mass Net Distribution Campaign 2023/2024 in Ndiru Stadium Stadium in Kagan Ward,Rangwe Sub-county on 15th November 2023.
This initiative, which is a partnership that brings together the County Government of Homabay, National Government State Department of Public Health and USAID PMI Kinga Malaria is set to distribute 841,000 treated mosquito nets to the people of Homa Bay in a bold and intentional effort to curb malaria prevalence in the County.
