Zoo Kericho playing with Posta Rangers in the past Match

Residents of Kericho have been urged to seized the opportunity in nurturing their talents in the ongoing Kenya Communication Sports Organization KECOSO in various playing grounds in Kericho county.
Speaking in Kericho stadium on Wednesday after the completion of the days event,Kipngetich Rotich a vice chair in the governing council of KECOSO said there many talents lying which haven’t been natured and there is need for various institutions in the country to scout for such talents and support them to achieve their dreams .
Rotich said Kericho County was given an opportunity to sponsor various sports men and women in the said counties to showcase their talents.
‘We believe on the power of sports to lift vulnerable players across the nation to achieve their dreams and we call upon every sports personnel to participate in various sports activities,’ Rotich said.
He describe sports as paving way for cohesion to all participants across the nations and also giving them opportunity in building contacts for various workforce events .
Rotich added that sporting activities has several advantages to human life unto will assist in re-energize and improve efficiency once they return to work and give better service in public work delivery .
On the other hand residents of Kericho have been urged to use protective gears when engaging with their partners to curb the rise of infections which has caused deaths.
Speaking in Kericho town today after holding a sensitization programme for the residents of Kericho Salome Wasike a Kenya Ports Authority A HIV and Alcohol drug abuse coordinator said they are mandated in educating the residents in using the protective gears during sex with partners aims in reducing the HIV/AIDS infections and other disease which affects the human body .
Wasike said in every Kenya Communication Sports Organization (KECOSO) games they reached out to residents educating them as per the need to use engaged in safe sex at all times.
Zoo Kericho won Wednesday match with 2-0 after playing with Kenya Ports authority where Kefa Ondati and Sammy Ggolola scored for Zoo at 20th and 39th Mins respectively on the basketball MOTHIHUD and PW lost to KCAA after KCAA scored 71 marks.The ongoing KECOSO games in Kericho county was flagged off on Saturday 17 and is scheduled to end on Saturday 24 this week which attracted various events like volleyball, football ,darts ,athletics and other various filed events .
The 41st KECOSO games attracted more than 12 various sports filed events which includes golf, athletics, football, darts, scrabble, volleyball, swimming, netball and table tennis.
The golf tournament which was held at Kericho Golf Club on early July this year was a curtain raiser for the KECOSO game unto which attracted more than hundred golfers,after was officiated by CS ICT Joe Mucheru.
