Abstract: The painful life of our women during the past centuries is not a secret to all of us. Who is to blame for their humiliation and oppression? This article talks about the miserable life of these oppressed people.

Enter. We know that in the last century the situation of our women in our society was not enviable. They had no place in the life of the society, and moreover, in their own families. The life of these oppressed people is worthless, and their reputation and career will become a waste.

Historically, our women have been simple, shy and loyal to their families. If we take a look at the last century, we can see how sad times our women went through. Our young girls have experienced a bitter fate before reaching the age of eighteen. Girls like flowers were treated like a commodity by khans, thousand-bashis, eshans, officials and generals, and lost their lives. So, who do you think is the reason for such a bitter fate of women?
Of course, they suffered from polygamy and cohabitation not by foreign hands, but by the ignorance of their father, brother or relatives. Cholpon’s novel “Night and Day” is well known to all of us.
Cholpon laughs at women, makes fun of them; she does not show the image of a hard-working, brave, hard-working woman with a strong hatred against oppression, humiliation, and oppression.
Zebi became a victim of his father’s thoughtless decision, polygamy, which spread like a plague in the society, also took Zebi to its torture. Razzaq Sufi was not the kind of person to sit back and watch his daughter’s pleasure. He considers it stupid for him to consult even with his wife.

The content of the play is revealed through the crying sentence of Mamat the guard, “What are you saying guys, the world is an upside down world… It snowed on Lola”. These girls, who deserve the favor of the Khan only once or twice, are brought to the harem under the name of maid. They are sent to the Khan as a gift by beggars from all over the country. Nozik’s sentence that Gulshan was touched by a dog seems to open the pain of these girls, whose honor has been ruined, and withered flowers.

In conclusion, I think that ignorance is the main factor behind the loss of women’s dignity in society. Because during this period, immorality and uncivilization rose to the surface in the society. Instead of the welfare of the country, the Khan-u Mingbashis had taken austerity and polygamy as their professions.
Due to ignorance and lack of real religious concepts, fathers fell under the pressure of the elders and sacrificed their daughters’ lives. That’s probably why many young tulips remained in the snow during this period.
True, in the work “Scorpion from the Altar” there is also a character who was able to fight against oppression and injustice and was able to keep himself free. This image is the image of Rana. The work describes the inner experiences of two different women, opposite to each other.
I think that Qadiri has put girls like Nozik, who is oppressed and deprived of her will, who silently observes what is written in her fate, opposite to the brave Rana who fought for her freedom. Qadiri tried to depict strong women rather than weak women in his works. Qadiri’s characters are knowledgeable and strive for freedom.
After all, Qadiri wants Uzbek women to be like this. Cholpan’s works show more oppression and oppression of women. Through these two works, we can witness how oppressed women were during the time when Cholpan and Qadiri lived, their inner experiences, and the tragedy of those who were deprived of their free will.
