Bahati Member of parliament Irene Njoki has issued bursary cheques worth Ksh30Million to over 7000 secondary school students from Bahati Constituency.
On the same breath, Hon Irene Njoki noted that Bursary cheques for University, colleges and TVET institutions are being processed and will be issued soon.
The Categories was as follows: Out of the awardees, 157 students comprise persons with disabilities, two thousand students are Form ones, Form one to form four were 7753 students and Fully sponsored Secondary students were 60.
According to Honorable Njoki, the partners to this scholarship include
Equity Bank sponsoring 30 students, Family Bank 5 students, Kassam Ramji 5 students, Bahati dairies 5 students and Hon. Irene also cares for students from all parts of the country. In light of this, she rose on the Floor of the House urging the National government to intervene and save parents from the high cost of joining junior secondary school
