Son of soil
- SON OF THE SOIL
I’m a typical son of the soil,
An African breed and a handsome boy.
Who was destined for greatness,
Endowed with wisdom and filled with braveness.
Raised up in a cruel and a hard way!
The struggles of life I experienced everyday.
In this rough part on earth
Made me believe the adage “The struggles of man begins at Birth”.
A son of the soil, that’s what I am!
For I’m destined to bring greatness like prophet Abraham.
The culture of my land I will uphold to high esteem,
I love everything,, especially when we fetch water from the stream.
I will one day change the face of Africa that’s my main aim,
I intend to do it out of pleasure, but not for fame.
