There is a lot more to casting out devils than just casting them out. Faith has a lot to do with dealing with the devil. In fact, faith is the number-one thing. Your faith in God has a lot to do with how you take authority over devils. You have to learn that faith comes first. You must totally, completely walk in faith. You must stand up to the devil and refuse to waver. The longer you pray, the stronger you get. The devil never obeys weak people. Never. He only obeys authority, in the name of Jesus.
When an alcoholic demon has been in a person for years, he will not come out quickly. You must absolutely take authority over him. Speaking in Jesus’ name, you can make that demon do anything. You cannot ask him to do anything. You must make him obey. So many people do not believe in the power of faith. If that person harboring an alcoholic demon wants to stay an alcoholic, there is nothing you can do. But if he wants to change, it can be done. Homosexual demons are one of the hardest kinds to get rid of. Most I have dealt with have been in the men since they were little boys. So you parents of little boys, watch out who your children spend the night with. Someone might get hold of him, and in fifteen years, that will be the only thing they know.
Everything that God has that is beautiful and sweet for you, the devil wants —but he wants it warped, perverted some way. But the devil tells churches all over the world to read the Bible and make up their own doctrines. He has stolen God’s Word away from so many churches. The Lord told us in the Great Commission to do four things: preach the Gospel, cast out devils, speak in new tongues, and lay hands on sick people who will recover. (Mark 16:15-18.) Yet there are many, many churches that build great buildings, carry on a multitude of activities, hold revival services, and do not do any of those four things.
GOD DELIVER US, GOD HAVE MERCY ON US.
