There was excitement and joy at the weekend as dozens of people became land owners through a partnership between real estate firm Optiven and retail trader, Tuskys.
The lucky people received their very important documents during a ceremony held at Garden of Joy in Machakos County.
Last Saturday provided an excellent opportunity by the two firms to bestow winners of the plots at the gated community area which is managed by Optiven.
The event was a culmination of a long standing partnership between the two organizations which they entered into on 24th November 2019.
When the idea was born, more than three years ago, Optiven Limited, Kenya’s leading real estate company became the choice partner for the Tuskys Supermarket as it rolled out it’s campaign dubbed “60 days of Christmas with Tuskys”. The campaign launched in Eldoret saw over 20 shoppers walk away with Title Deeds for their properties located in the cosmopolitan County of Machakos.

At the Garden of Joy where the beneficiaries are set to establish their homes, Optiven has already value-added the plots by among other things; installation of solar street lights, a beautiful gate, a perimeter fence, water and electricity on site as well as numerous fully grown trees that mark the individually beaconed plots across the project.
During the colourful ceremony, Ethel Kipoto, the Head of Legal thanked the winners under the Optiven/Tuskys partnership noting that for Optiven the promise had been realized through issuance of the 20 title deeds to the winners.
The title deed event was one among over 12 others held by Optiven across the globe to enable customers who have invested in different projects to take full ownership of their properties.
The title deeds were handed over to them by Racheal Ndunge, the Head of Sales and Tom Kibet, the Regional Manager for Eastern, amidst much celebration. Optiven, has spread it’s wings further by ensuring that even investors in the diaspora continue to empower customers first to own land and secondly to seal the engagement by ensuring they get a title deed for their investment with Optiven.
Mugo said this is a part of the company’s culture to keep it’s promise to those that have trusted them to invest in land and receive the title deed as proof of ownership.
