Nyeri Youth Leaders yesterday welcomed with joy, the nomination of budinessman Dan Wamahiu as one of the Chief Administrative Secretary in the Kenya Kwanza administration.
Led by Nominated MCA Kareithi Wambui, the leaders termed Wamahiu as a greater perfomer who believes in delivering any given mandate.
Kareithi who was flanked by other leaders, among them former Nominated MCA Julia Wanjiku and businessmen John Ndung’u as well as Simo Wa Nyeri thanked President Ruto and his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua for seeing it fit to nominate Wamahiu who they said would greately assist them in delivering various pledges they made to Kenyans during the electioneering period.
During the press conference at AnnaBell Restaurant near Nyeri town, Kareithi said the new government inherited empty coffers and thus, it needed aggressive leaders to rejuvenate it and meet citizens expectations.
The youth leaders said that Kenyans should not complain of the bloated cabinet since the Kenya kwanza government requires a lot of workforce to ensure they deliver to Kenyans what they promised during campaigns, such as a growing economy since it requires a jumpstart to regain its lost glory.
“The appointments of CAS positions are done to people who are known to work for Kenyans as some are former MPs and Governors and there is no doubt they will help the Kenya Kwanza government deliver on the bottom up economy model, and this will benefit all Kenyans at large” Kareithi added.
The Nyeri youth leaders however distanced themselves from the Monday demonstrations planned by Azimio leader Raila Odinga terming it as a unreasonable move aimed at distracting the Government from working for Kenyans.
They told the Azimio La Umoja coalition leader to consider the option of retiring and let Kenya Kwanza coalition serve the citizens.
They urged the government to deal ruthlessly with anyone who will demonstrate or disrupt peace for working hard Kenyans.
