President William Ruto on Friday hosted hundreds of leaders from Embu County at State House,Β Nairobi.
The leaders, led by Governor Cecily Mbarire took the opportunity to highlight some of the issues they would like the Kenya Kwanza administration to work on in the area.
These include in various sectors such agriculture, Water, Sanitation, Irrigation, health, trade as well as infrastructure in roads and electrification.
On his part, President Ruto noted that his administration will work with all leaders to transform Kenya. He said his government was particularly keen on ensuring that the health system works so as to lessen financial burden on everyone.
The Head of State agreed to build three more markets in the county, bringing the total number to 12. Further, the government will also invest KSh1 billion in the region to connect more than 12,000 households to electricity.
