And this remodeled race
Menstruates along the ramp
In pursuity of these crocodile’s
Shadows
Until they drown,
But father in his days would listen
To the humming songs of the
Honey-guide
And traced the sound to the hives
He too enterpreted the dove’s coo
And borrowed peace for his people
And mother would follow the
Instincts of her dreams
That showed her the path to the
Moon,
Then she would marry truth and
Freedom
For the light endured in her heart
I too would listen to the sound of
Violin
As my spirit quenched with worship
Then I could sing a song of
Thousand strings
A song of freedom and liberty
That this modernistic cymbals do
Lack!
My younger sister would write a
Protracted poem
Then follow verse by verse
To make a whole book of her
Dream
For she has burrowed through
Many books
And wisdom in her is like many
Waters
For when the floods come,
She swims through
As if it was an ocean
Then with her tears she could
Remind me
Of days she wrote of justice
But the world turned its back
It’s painful to swim in ocean of pain
For the hope lieth not in its layers
But better to bath in a river, whose
Flow never turn back until destiny
Is realized In this remodeled race!
