Ruto, CSs Makes New Appointments In State Corporations And Agencies

The Appointees Include Mem­bers Of The Selec­tion Pan­el For Recruit­ment Of PSC Vice Chair, Mem­bers And Offi­cials In Var­i­ous Gov­ern­ment Insti­tu­tions

Pres­i­dent William Ruto has made sev­er­al appoint­ments in dif­fer­ent state cor­po­ra­tions and agen­cies.

Through mul­ti­ple gazette notices, the Pres­i­dent made appoint­ments in the Pub­lic Ser­vice Com­mis­sion, the State Cor­po­ra­tions, the Micro and Small Enter­pris­es Author­i­ty, Water Resources Author­i­ty, the Nation­al Min­ing Cor­po­ra­tion and the Anti-Dop­ing Agency.

In the notice dat­ed Octo­ber 4, Ruto appoint­ed sev­en mem­bers of the Selec­tion Pan­el for the recruit­ment of nom­i­nees for appoint­ment as the vice chair­per­son and mem­bers of the Pub­lic Ser­vice Com­mis­sion.

He appoint­ed Arthur Osiya, Oscar Ere­di, Nura Mohammed, Grace Kamau, Ruth Ruraa, Nan­cy Buta­ma and Eliz­a­beth Chesang as mem­bers of the pan­el.

The Pres­i­dent also appoint­ed Vic­tor Mun­ya­ka, chair­per­son of the Kenya Ani­mal Genet­ic Resource for three years effec­tive Octo­ber 4, 2024.

Ruto has also appoint­ed James Mureu the chair­per­son of the Micro and Small Enter­pris­es Author­i­ty for three years effec­tive Octo­ber 4, 2024.

In a gazette notice dat­ed Octo­ber 3, 2024, the Pres­i­dent appoint­ed Don­ald Mur­gor chair­per­son of the Water Resources Author­i­ty for three years effec­tive Octo­ber 4, 2024.

Ruto fur­ther appoint­ed Silas Jonyo chair­per­son of the Coun­cil to the Kenya Insti­tute of Mass Com­mu­ni­ca­tion for three years effec­tive Octo­ber 4, 2024.

The Pres­i­dent also appoint­ed Joseph Lagat the chair­per­son of the Nation­al Min­ing Cor­po­ra­tion for three years effec­tive Octo­ber 4, 2024.

In a sep­a­rate gazette notice dat­ed Octo­ber 3, Ruto appoint­ed Bish­op Joseph Kagun­da chair­per­son of the Board of the Anti-Dop­ing Agency of Kenya for three years.

Besides the Pres­i­dent, Chief Jus­tice Martha Koome has also appoint­ed mag­is­trates to pre­side over cas­es relat­ing to cor­rup­tion and eco­nom­ic crimes.

They will serve in the areas of juris­dic­tion of their cur­rent court sta­tions and in future sta­tions they will be deployed to from time to time with effect from the Octo­ber 8, 2024.

At the same time, Cab­i­net Sec­re­taries made appoint­ments in their min­istries.

Nation­al Trea­sury and Eco­nom­ic Plan­ning CS John Mba­di appoint­ed Muchiri Nga­tia a mem­ber of the Kenya Insti­tute for Pub­lic Pol­i­cy Research and Analy­sis (KIPPRA) for three years.

Infor­ma­tion, Com­mu­ni­ca­tions and the Dig­i­tal Econ­o­my CS Mar­garet Ngun­du, appoint­ed Daniel Rono a mem­ber of the Board of the Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Author­i­ty of Kenya for three years.

CS Ndun­gu fur­ther appoint­ed Sel­la Ayim­ba and Ibrahim Sane as mem­bers of the Board of the Kenya Broad­cast­ing Cor­po­ra­tion (KBC) for three years.

Health CS Deb­o­rah Barasa appoint­ed Stephen Namusyule a mem­ber of the Kenya Nuclear Reg­u­la­to­ry Author­i­ty for three years.

CS Barasa fur­ther appoint­ed Ibrahim Matende a mem­ber of the Social Health Author­i­ty for three years effec­tive Octo­ber 4, 2024.

She fur­ther appoint­ed Irine Njen­ga a mem­ber of the Board of Direc­tors of the Kenya Med­ical Research Insti­tute (Kem­ri) for three years, effec­tive Octo­ber 4, 2024.

Water, San­i­ta­tion and Irri­ga­tion CS Eric Muu­ga appoint­ed Abra­ham Cheruiy­ot a mem­ber of the Board of Direc­tors of Lake Vic­to­ria North Water Works Devel­op­ment Agency.

Min­ing, Blue Econ­o­my and Mar­itime Affairs CS Has­san Joho appoint­ed Jawahi­ra Hus­sein Haji and David Pkeu Kapel­ish­wa as mem­bers of the Nation­al Min­ing Cor­po­ra­tion effec­tive Octo­ber 4, 2024.

He fur­ther appoint­ed Mic­ah Lore and Stephen Labarak­we as mem­bers of the Board of the Kenya Fish­eries Ser­vice for three years.
