Veteran Actor Jamie Battlet dies at 55, family confirmed via eNCA news South Africa, 23/05/22 in the evening.
The actor was well known as David Genero a Villan and antagonist on the local soapies called Rhythm City, he was betrothed to Gail after their long engagement of a love affair that yielded a child who was a five year old boy in the story line.
Jamie was reknown for his eloquence in speech, his acting was on another level, he could improvise quickly and was one of the few living legends who made acting retain its quality in the world that craft is now not taken seriously as everyone is now deemed as an actor.
His love hate relationship with suffocate Ndlovu on the soapie sent blood reeling down the neck when gun fires and battling happened on the business field or home.
Jamie acted so many parts and also directed, he was Michael O’reilley on another renoun South African soapie called isidingo the need!
More often we speak of a man when he is no more but Jamie’s work shall continue to speak volumes about him, rhythm city was canceled last year after showing for numerous years without a fail, when Etv introduced new shows.
The South African thespian community has lost a great actor and media personality
