Energy Capital & Power

Travelling in Kenya has become a nightmare. Everybody everywhere is complaining about the oil prices and lack of oil in almost every part of the country. Most of the businesses in the country are at stand still due to increased fares. The food prices have also increased in a rapid way that has shocked the country or is it because the elections are about to be held?
Even though the body in charge of regulating petroleum claims there is enough oil in the country, in the ground things are different because everybody claims that oil prices are very high. If there are enough oil in the country then why is there shortage of it in the country. This shows that the cartels in the ministry of Energy are hiding the oil in order to punish other people.
Most of the people who suffer from this shortage are the ordinary citizens whose incomes are not that good.
The fuel shortage in the country has been evident with the long queues in petrol stations being witnessed. This is because of few cartels in the industry who have decided to control the fuel market. The petroleum stabilisation has not been put in place where there is a price that the petroleum should reach. The few cartels that monopolize the petroleum business should be taken out of office since they are making ordinary citizens to suffer.
If the petroleum stabilisation has not been put in place then the government should come in and solve this problem. These cartels that hide and increase the fuel prices, serious action should be taken against them by the government so as to save ordinary citizens.
