Under Angaza Movement the groups which include Kenya Human Rights Commission say their mission is to ensure Kenyans vote wisely devoid of tribalism and also voter bribery.
Speaking during such a forum in Nyeri town, the group spokesperson Kawinga Wambua said that each election year Kenyans are confused by rich individuals through money and tribalism and fail to vote wisely for the sake of their future.
“Each year we see many Kenyans being confused with money, in this country we see corrupt people being elected to office why we are conducting these training is to ensure that Kenyans have integrity while voting through voter education” said Wambua .
Wambua lamented that the electoral body has been conducting non conclusive polls that have been the recipe for election violence that was witnessed in 2007.
“As civil right groups we are also educating our people to refrain from tribal groupings which end up in cahos however we are also working with IEBC to ensure that what must be done to ensure free and fair polls” said Wambua.
