Bible
I relate with Paul in his dispensation, and I find myself in my Evangelistic duties mentioning him regularly and associating his call with mine. In particular the people who God has given me to minister to, beginning with my football team: SamWest BlackBoots F.C. Yesterday,23rd October we were at Nyahururu for a match, and it ended with a WIN in our favor. While there and journey back, I ministered to my team, and am thankful God is answering prayers and manifesting Himself in a huge way.
It is written “For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward.”(EPHESIANS 3:1-2). After expounding on the wealth and workmanship of God in chapters 1 and 2, Paul finally gets around to explaining his credentials to the Ephesians and the Church at large in chapter 3. In verse 1 he declares that he is a prisoner of Jesus Christ sent to the Gentiles. Then in verse 2 he begins to talk about the message God has given him to deliver, which he first refers to as “the dispensation of the grace of God.”
Now, the word “dispensation” used here does not mean a period of time as is so often thought by believers today. It is translated from the Greek word oikonomia, which means “administration” or the management or oversight of something. It describes the work of a servant who has been given considerable responsibility over his master’s household. So Paul is saying that the responsibility or oversight of the doctrine of the grace of God has been given to him to deliver to the Gentiles.
SELAH: “GLORY BE UNTO YOU JEHOVAH, HELP US FULFILL OUR DISPENSATION IN JESUS CHRIST MIGHTY NAME.” AMEN.
