It also offers a platform for businesses ranging from local SMEs to global corporations to showcase cutting-edge products and services, network with peers, and explore investment opportunities in Kenyaās fast growing construction landscape.
In his opening remarks, Wycliffe Oparanya, Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Co-operatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Development highlighted the vital role MSMEs play in driving growth in the construction industry, adding that expos like Buildcon create crucial linkages between innovators, manufacturers, and developers.
āThe Buildcon Expo is more than a trade show. It is a reflection of Kenyaās readiness to embrace modern building technologies and to create opportunities for local enterprises to scale and thrive. We view such expos as critical to industrial growth, tech transfer and new investments especially for MSMEs, co-operatives and Ā local manufacturers under the BETA agenda,ā he stated.
Principal Secretary in the State Department for Industry Dr. Juma Mukhwana, praised the initiative for fostering industrial collaboration and technological transfer, stating that Kenya and India have a history when it comes to entrepreneurship.
āI encourage Indian companies exhibiting at EXPO25 to open manufacturing industries here in Ā Kenya. By bringing together players from across the value chain engineers, architects, material suppliers, and government policymakers, we are moving closer to our vision of a robust and self-reliant construction sector,ā he said.
Exhibitors at the expo include companies specializing in green construction solutions, prefabricated building systems, smart home technologies, and heavy machinery.
