Kenya Social Congress Party leader Atati Kengele has condemned the recent killing of social media actvist Albert Ojwang.
Ojwang was arrested by police officers in Homa Bay on Saturday and transported to Nairobi Central Police Station where he died the following morning.

Kengele said it is unfortunate that Ojwang died in the hands of police who are supposed to protect him.
“We strongly condemn the abductions and killing of young Kenyans because of what they do on social media,” he said.
Kengele urged President William Ruto to come and tell Kenyans what happened.
“The President is a symbol of national unity and he is the protector of the lives of citizens of this country. He should come out and what happened and what steps he is taking,” Kengele said.
He spoke in Meru yesterday after meeting delegates from Meru, Isiolo and Tharaka Nithi Countes in an effort to chart the way forward over recruitment of new members ahead of the 2027 elections.
Yesterday, Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja retracted his earlier statement that social media influencer and teacher died after hitting his head against a wall.
He has since issued a public apology to the nation.
Appearing before the Senate, Kanja admitted that his initial claim was based solely on a report from officers at Central Police Station, but he no longer stands by it.
“Based on the report we have now received from Ipoa, it is not true that he hit his head against the wall. That was the initial report we were given from the beginning,” Kanja told the Senate.
Kengele said soon they will announce the presidential candidate.
On Agriculture, Kengele said that Miraa farmers are suffering due to lack of enough market outside the country.
He said Isiolo airport was supposed to help Miraa farmers take their produce outside the country but that has not been actualised.
He urged the government to stop overburdening Kenyans with taxes.
