Worth Noting:
- Kissing is a historical practice, until Jesus Christ was kissed; his friend Judas Iscariot put into practice the plan of betrayal. Already in the garden of Gethsemane, while the lord Jesus was praying, Judas Iscariot consummated his act by kissing Jesus, and so the soldiers arrested him ( Mark 14: 43-46).
- The kiss symbolizes friendship or romantic affection, today, I can say that there are several kisses in the flavor of Judas Iscariot, but before the kiss had its big moment, it was not easy to receive a kiss from a person you like so much, but unfortunately like everything, today the kiss doesn´t mean anything anymore, you know someone and you can kiss without any problem, but that didn´t happen before, no matter how much they were in love.
The question is so embarrassing, I remember once I asked an elderly couple! They will look at reply and me:
- The kiss is wonderful! — They replied in unison.
Of what wonder they speak, lips touching each other. What´s so wonderful about it?
A kiss (from the latim basium) is the touching of the lips to another person or object. In western culture, it is considered a gesture of affection. Among friends, it is used as a greeting or farewell. Kissing someone else´s lips is a symbol of romantic affection or sexual desire — in the latter case, the kiss can be on other parts of the body as well. Here in Angola, I remember when I was a kid, I saw my grandmother kissing other old women on the cheeks several times, and it was a sign of affection and a lot of respect.
I remember when we would go to a relative´s house, my grandmother would greet in the national language Kimbundu and then give two kisses, one on the left side and one on the right side, man and woman, the kiss was given in the same way. Once an old woman I think is from our family came to our house and in this saga of greetings kissing the right and left side of people, I felt her lip very close to mine, the right thing was to kiss only the cheeks and not get close to the lips. Lips, I think that was one of the reasons why you don´t see more people greeting each other in the streets with kisses on the cheeks. I don´t think I was the only one going through that situation. Instead of getting a kiss on the cheek, it ends up taking it from the mouth.

The kiss was a sign of love, there was a schedule where the first kiss would be given.
Still about the kiss, today in Angola there is an extinction of this act, which symbolizes respect and love. Today, no one thinks about kissing anyone out of affection, friendship or respect, there is so much mistrust in everything. It is almost rare to see people kissing as a form of greeting. As it is also possible to see strangers kissing and having sex on the first night.
